Traditional Traffic Methods

As you probably already know there are many ways to attract visitors to a website.

These methods fall into two major categories, organic and paid.

Organic traffic includes tactics like Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and social media content marketing.

Paid traffic includes traffic that you explicitly pay for, such as Facebook or Search Engine ads.

Both of these traffic sources are capable of driving all the traffic you could ever want, if done correctly, and you are willing to spend enough time and money to make the specific method work that is.

Issues With Paid and Organic Traffic Methods

Unfortunately, both come with their specific challenges that make it harder and harder to drive consistent and affordable traffic to your business or offers.

Organic Traffic

Organic traffic is usually more affordable than paid traffic or at least allows you to get visitors to your website without paying for each and every click.

The problem is that organic traffic tactics are slow and unpredictable. Which means you are stuck putting in a ton of work and time creating content, with the hopes that you will one day rank in the first few results in Google, or that you will be able to build an organic audience on social media.

And if you’re reading this, then you probably already know, neither is guaranteed no matter how much work you put in or how bad you want it.

This doesn’t even take into consideration that SEO is getting more and more complicated and less and less effective, favoring huge authority sites, with results being prone to huge swings, at the whim of constant Google algorithm changes.

Paid Traffic

The main benefit of paid traffic approaches is that it can provide as much traffic as you want instantly.

You don’t have nearly the wait time or work when it comes to Paid traffic. You can scale a winning campaign almost instantly, allowing you to simply put more money in to get more money out, when you find a winning ad.

The problem is that paid traffic sources are expensive and take a lot of testing to find an ad that converts and is profitable.

Which means it is costly to start and carries an ongoing cost to keep the traffic coming in. Which means you will be cutting into your profit margin with each and every click.

Luckily Google Loves Itself

Since the early days of SEO it has been long known that Google favors its own entities.

This goes way back to the days when you could rank Blogger sites (owned by Google), or Google Sites on the front page of Google.

Or when you could use Google+ social media to give your new sites juice and an edge in indexing.

Let’s not forget the countless Google Entity Stacks that SEO’s used so well, for so long, to rank Money sites over competitors.
